Welcome to Lafayette Mennonite Fellowship
Worshipping together
Each Sunday evening, we gather to worship the God who loves and
sustains us. Led by members of the congregation, we study the Bible,
various books, sing, share joys and concerns, and fellowship together
Supporting and nurturing one another
In addition to our regular Sunday meetings, we keep in touch with each
other in order to learn about each other's needs and concerns so that
we can provide spiritual and physical support to each other.
Understanding biblical life styles and cultivating relationships with God
As we share our spiritual journeys with each other, we seek to understand what the Bible has to say about how to live as children of God. We also aim to cultivate the spiritual growth of each other through prayer, praise, and confession. We encourage all to explore what discipleship to Christ means in their lives.
We believe that the good news of God's love and of Christ's life is
meant to be shared with others. Members are encouraged to share faith
on an individual basis. In addition, the group supports the work of
Lafayette Urban Ministries and is one of the founding and sustaining
congregations for Mediation Services of Tippecanoe County. Also as a
church, we provide monthly Sunday meals to individuals in our community
who lack in material resources.
Calling out and developing the
gifts of members
As a congregation, we offer opportunities for individuals to experiment
with what they think a church should be. As our membership changes, our
church changes with the gifts each person brings to the group. These
gifts may be used within the group or they may be used throughout the
daily life of each person. Our elders provide leadership and direction
for the congregation, but members take on other leadership roles as
well.
We invite you to explore God's call with us!
